Coming to you from a regular spot at The Ring O'Bells, Marple, this band have been running 'Acoustic Soup' - a successful open mic and gig night in Stockport - for over two years and have played round the Cheshire and Liverpool areas. They are a four piece band playing foot-stomping balkan/gypsy folk with sprinklings of pirate and zombie.

The Band was formed in 1999 by Norman Pennington, and after several name changes ended up as The Tame Valley Stompers, recently also becoming known as 'Terry's Dead Good Boys'.

Last Night of the Proms by Glossop Old Band at Glossop Bandroom

Glossop is the town where the modern brass instrument valve system was invented, and the band is thought to have been formed sometime around 1830. Early success came under the baton of Alex Owen funded by a local businessman who in 1884 provided the bandroom, now a rehearsal room and thriving concert venue.
